Our board of management has spent years pushing through every obstacle to turn a bold vision into reality. Guided by sharp foresight and absolute positivity, they have remained deeply committed to Kerala, ensuring that top-quality education isn't a privilege, but a right.

Dr. K. Moidu is a distinguished physician, educationalist and philanthropist who has spent over six decades developing the healthcare and higher education infrastructure of Northern Kerala.

In 1960, Dr. Moidu graduated in the historic first batch of M.B.B.S. students from Madurai Medical College. He went on to establish two major healthcare institutions in the heart of Calicut city, Western Hospital in 1968, and subsequently National Hospital, a prominent multi-specialty institution.

In 1996, alongside his children, he founded National College of Pharmacy in Manassery, Mukkom. To further advance regional education and healthcare, he established the Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust (KMCT) Group of Institutions in 1999. Under his leadership, KMCT has expanded into a premier group of over 27 professional colleges, educating more than 15,000 students, directly employing 4,000+ staff, and indirectly benefiting over 6,000 individuals.

Dr. Moidu is the founder director of the Muslim Educational Society (MES), contributing to numerous educational projects across Kerala. A respected civic leader, he has served as president of the Calicut Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the Rotary Club of Calicut, and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Calicut chapter. His contributions to social welfare, education and healthcare have earned him numerous prestigious awards and honours.

Since 2021, Dr. Navas K.M. has been serving as the Chairman of KMCT Group of Institutions, a leading group of educational and healthcare institutions in Kerala. With a visionary approach that extends beyond the horizon, Dr. Navas aims to establish KMCT as a knowledge-based educational and healthcare hub, significantly contributing to the economic growth of our country. His mission is to bring world-class education and healthcare within reach of the people of the nation, driving him to explore every possibility to achieve this goal.

Dr. Navas is the guiding force at KMCT, constantly analysing global trends and setting unique standards rooted in core values: education for all, healthcare for all, quality in every endeavour, moral integrity, and adherence to ethical practices. Known for his kind and patient demeanour, he is deeply committed to the well-being of students, staff, and the wider community. He values collaboration, believes in the power of teamwork, and is always approachable, inspiring others to strive for excellence.

He is deeply invested in expanding his network globally, believing in the power of collaboration to enhance the quality of institutions. His keen interest in innovation drives the implementation of world-class facilities in the educational and healthcare systems, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of both sectors in today's competitive, technology-driven world.

Under his leadership, KMCT Group of Institutions has achieved prestigious accreditations and recognitions from leading national and international bodies, including NAAC, NABH, and NBA. Notably, the group has secured Diamond Ratings from QS I-GAUGE, with several other institutions currently on the path to achieving similar milestones. Dr. Navas has also served in various organisations, contributing to charitable and developmental activities. He was the past president of the Kerala Private Medical College Management Association (KPMCMA) and is actively involved in associations related to his group, influencing policy decisions at local, state, and national levels.

Since taking on the role of Executive Trustee and Director at KMCT Group of Institutions in 2021, Dr. Ayisha Nazreen has become a cornerstone of support for all activities of KMCT Group of Institutions. Her approach of centralised control combined with a decentralised action plan has been instrumental in shaping operations across KMCT. Dr. Ayisha's focus is on enhancing the existing services to achieve higher levels of quality, establishing standards that emphasise operational efficiency, open communication, and thoughtful decision-making.

She is dedicated to recruiting exceptional faculty and staff, ensuring a high standard of quality at the grassroots level. Dr. Ayisha also addresses issues faced by each college, providing practical and effective solutions. She prioritises creating a comfortable working environment, addressing infrastructural needs, and rectifying any system faults to maximise positive outcomes.

Dr. Ayisha is actively involved in promoting excellence at KMCT, taking a keen interest in the digital marketing department to enhance the institution's visibility. Her collaboration with the Chairman in managing prestigious activities has been pivotal in achieving various accreditations and recognition for the quality of education and healthcare provided by KMCT.

Her commitment to innovation and excellence continually drives KMCT towards new heights. Dr. Ayisha's insightful contributions and solutions to complex issues play a significant role in maintaining the group's reputation for outstanding quality.

Our History

In 1996, under the visionary leadership of Dr. K.Moidu as founder and chairman, KMCT Group of Institutions commenced its educational journey with the establishment of National College of Pharmacy, offering a diploma in pharmacy. Dr.Navas K. M. served as the executive trustee during this period. Since 2021, Dr.Navas K. M. has taken on the role of chairman, and Dr.Ayisha Nazreen is the executive trustee & director. From its modest beginnings with five staff members and 69 students, National College of Pharmacy laid the foundation for a distinguished legacy. Over the years, KMCT has grown into a premier educational and healthcare hub in Kerala, featuring over 27+ successful institutions spanning medical, dental, ayurveda, pharmacy, nursing, allied health science, architecture, polytechnic, engineering, law, management, hotel management, design, and arts and sciences. The institution boasts a student strength exceeding 15,000, offering 150+ courses, employing 4000 individuals, and having a network of over 30,000 alumni globally. In alignment with the government's vision to make Kerala a knowledge-based developed economy by 2030, KMCT has emphasized research and innovation. The institution is currently undergoing a substantial transformation, contributing to Kerala's identity as a higher education hub, healthcare destination, centre for medical technologies, and a start-up and entrepreneurial hub. The journey gained momentum in 2005 with the establishment of a nursing school, followed by the inception of KMCT Hospital and KMCT Ayurveda College in 2006. KMCT Hospital underwent significant expansion, evolving into KMCT Super Specialty Hospital, now equipped with 1200 beds across 7 buildings, including 200 ICU beds, 26 operation theatres, and over 700 doctors specializing in 48 fields. KMCT has been a pioneer in implementing government schemes and has played a pivotal role in healthcare services, offering procedures such as bypass surgery, cancer surgery, neurosurgery, spine surgery, and joint replacement surgery. The institution has also been a significant contributor to employment, creating opportunities for over 1500 individuals. In 2008, KMCT achieved a major milestone with the establishment of KMCT Medical College, and subsequently, a college of nursing was inaugurated. The institution continued to diversify its educational offerings, adding various institutions in 2013, including KMCT Law College, KMCT Arts and Science College Kuttippuram, KMCT College of Architecture, KMCT Polytechnic College, and KMCT College of Allied Health Sciences. Building on this success, KMCT further expanded in 2020 with the establishment of KMCT College of Pharmacy and in 2021 with KMCT College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, KMCT School of Management, and KMCT Innovation and Incubation Council. In subsequent years, KMCT continued its evolution by establishing the Institute of Emerging Technology and Management in 2022, KMCT Institute of Technology and Management in 2023, and in 2024, KMCT School of Design, KMCT School of Business Management, KMCT Institute of Pharmacy, and KMCT Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research.In 2025, with the growing focus on emerging technologies, KMCT expanded its presence by establishing three new campuses, KMCT College of Engineering For Emerging Technologies and Management in Perinthalmanna, Vadakara & Kasaragod
